In
the News...
In May 2009, Amy Lang will finish her freshman year at New Mexico State University, where she competes on the Varsity Equestrian team (NCAA Division I) on a full academic/athletic scholarship. During the 2008-09 season, Amy was chosen by her coaches to compete in the Equitation over Fences phase every time out, including road trips to schools such as California State-Fresno, Delaware State and Oklahoma State. In 13 Varsity trips over fences, Amy won her head-to-head point 8 times — receiving scores of 80 or higher in 9 of those trips. She also was named MVP by the Varsity judges at 6 competitions, including against No. 2-ranked University of Georgia; also Kansas State, Delaware State, Texas Tech, South Dakota State and West Texas A&M. This summer, Amy will work on the riding staff at Camp Heart O’The Hills near Kerrville, and she’ll return to NMSU as a sophomore in the fall of 2009.
